DESIGN

Whether you want to create a space for children to play, a place to entertain, somewhere to grow plants and trees or simply a beautiful spot to relax and unwind, we offer a complete garden design service.

Our passion and knowledge of how to employ hard and soft landscaping materials coupled with extensive experience in gardening enables us to create and build designs which are unique, matching and complementing the style of existing architecture and surrounding landscape.

Regardless of the size or scope of your project, be it a small courtyard garden or complete transformation of large country gardens, we can help you fulfil all aspirations for your outdoor space, while meeting your requirements, timescale and budget.

We work with qualified designers who offer an holistic and consultative approach, maintaining regular discussion and allowing each garden design to evolve organically.

The main steps of the garden design process are summarised below.

Initial consultation and design briefing.jpg

Initial consultation and design briefing

The consultation meeting usually takes place on site when the designer will meet with you to discuss the project and ideas for redesigning your space, the likely uses and function of the garden as well as understanding your likes and dislikes. A brief willsubsequently be put together.

Site survey and analysis

A site survey will be carried out providing accurate measurements of the position and heights of all existing elements within the garden in relation to the house. Normally within the same visit we would undertake a site analysis. This includes taking photographs, soil samples, assessing views and aspects of the garden.

Concept design.jpg

Concept design

This next stage involves producing plan or aerial views to show you the overall layout of the garden together with 3D concept drawings to give you a feel for what it might be like in different parts of the garden. This is normally accompanied by various ‘mood boards’ illustrating a range of planting and materials that might be used.

Once the concept design has been agreed we will produce a final detailed plan along with a quote that outlines in detail the various costs for building the garden. Every element of the project is considered at this stage including the choice of materials and suppliers to used the design of bespoke elements.
